In the kitchen head chefs Iain and Uriah have created a menu inspired by good quality British classics. We have a regularly changing choice of sausages all locally made and organic by Tom Murray's butchers. Also on the menu are the award winning Pieminister and Tom's pies and both are served with mash and a rich, delicious gravy. 

Adding to this there are a range of specials available daily with pub classics such as Rib Eye Steak with Hand-cut Chips & Fennel & Watercress Salad sitting next to Whole Roasted Poussin with Roasted New Potatoes or Crown of Lamb with Sherry Vinegar Sauce. These can all be followed by classic puddings such as a Bitter Chocolate Torte or Bread and Butter Pudding.

There are also lighter dishes on the menu with the charcuterie plate being a popular choice, a selection of quality cured meats come overlapping with wild rocket and watercress topped off with shavings of parmesan and a sprinkling of olives. We are also proud of our award winning cheese board with cheeses supplied by Lye Cross Farm in Somerset whose Mature Cheddar recently won the top award at the World Cheese Awards.

No pub would be complete without a good Sunday Roast and in the short time since The Spotted Cow opened our Sunday Roasts have already become legendary.

All of our ingredients are sourced locally and this year we built our own roof garden. The garden now supplies the kitchen with many of their ingredients from fresh herbs to aubergines and plump tomatoes.
