In the kitchen head chef Scott Hislop has created a menu basedon good quality British classics. We have a regularly changing choice ofsausages all locally made and organic by Tom Murray's butchers and they come with three different types ofmashed potato, plain, wholegrain or horseradish. Also on the menu are theaward winning Pieminister and Tom's pies which also come with the choice of mashes andboth are served with a rich, delicious gravy. These dishes are great value at£7.50 and are also available for the bargain price of £6 Monday-Wednesdaybetween 5pm and 7pm. 

Adding to this there are a range of specials available daily with pub classicssuch as Line Caught Cod and Chips with Mushy Peas sitting next to Whole Roasted Poussin with Roasted New Potatoes or Crown of Lamb with Sherry Vinegar Sauce. These can all be followed by Scott’sclassic puddings such as a Bitter Chocolate Torte or Bread andButter pudding.

There are also lighter dishes on the menu with the charcuterie plate being apopular choice, a selection of quality cured meats come overlapping with wildrocket and watercress topped off with shavings of parmesan and a sprinkling ofolives. We are also proud of our award winning cheese board with cheeses supplied by Lye Cross Farm in Somerset whose Mature Cheddar recently won the top award at the World Cheese Awards.
